South Eastern Regional College Students Create Fairy Tale Calendar for Health Trust

Level 2 Media students at South Eastern Regional College (SERC) recently linked up with South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust to create a charity calendar in order to generate funds for a proposed new soft play area.

Liane Radcliffe, Deputy Head of School for Performing Arts said,

“South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust approached us to see if we could help them produce a calendar with a fairy tale theme which would involve their staff as characters. Our Level 2 OCR Cambridge Technical Media students took on the creative challenge, working to a tight deadline. They scheduled the studio shoot, organised staff and costumes and then added backgrounds to images to create stunning images with inspirational messages for the whole year.

She added, “Our colleagues from the Trust were delighted with the calendar and called into the College with cakes and buns to thank the students for their tremendous efforts.   It was a great project to work on as the students had a brief, a deadline and got to use their skills and imagination to produce something that will benefit others.”

The calendar is on sale now from South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust.
