Coleg Llandrillo Cymru Receives Excellent Inspection Report From Estyn

Coleg Llandrillo Cymru has been praised after the Welsh college was handed excellent ratings by inspectors from Estyn (Her Majestys Inspectorate for Education and Training in Wales) in February 2005. It is the first college in Wales to achieve such high ratings, receiving grade ones in seven categories, and is also ranked one of the best in the U.K.

During a visit by Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, Mr Blair praised the college saying, “My congratulations to all the staff and the students on these unprecedented inspection results. Its great to see such enthusiasm for learning at the College.”

The results make Coleg Llandrillo Cymru the first Welsh College to achieve the highest ratings in leadership and management and for management of quality. The college was also awarded outstanding ratings for student success, teaching and learning, curriculum, support for students and management of resources.
