Developing your coaching skills to achieve apprentice success – November

November 8, 2023 @ 1:30 pm 4:30 pm

Every interaction you have with apprentices is an important opportunity to help them learn, develop, grow and feel motivated to succeed – but it requires the right skills.

For all those involved in training and supporting apprentices, using expert coaching techniques can have a significant impact on the apprentice’s success and future career.

That’s why we’re hosting this 3 hour interactive webinar – to equip you with the skills to coach apprentices effectively and enhance the quality of your training and interactions with each learner.

This session will cover:

  • What coaching is and the importance of the learning context
  • What makes coaching work well
  • Developing your coaching skills
  • Coaching conversation structures, processes and running sessions
  • Opportunities to practice coaching skills
  • Setting activities for ongoing practice

The webinar will be facilitated by Alison and Simon. As well as their decades of experience in Management and Leadership Development, Simon and Alison specialise in coaching and mentoring in apprenticeships. They’ve worked with hundreds of providers and employers and developed resources around mentoring for the Department for Education, CIPD, Gatsby and others. In addition, Alison is an executive coach (Level 7 qualified).

This webinar is for those involved in the training of apprentices (e.g. skills coaches, trainers, tutors, assessors, etc.). Those supporting apprentices in the workplace will also find this session helpful. The session will be practical, interactive and give you chance to hone your skills.

“Excellent training. Thanks to those in the background who make it all work. Great team at SDN.
Highly recommend your training!”
