Getting to grips with Curriculum Intent, Implementation and Impact

July 25, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

£69.00

Overview

This interactive webinar will examine in detail what each of these terms – curriculum intent, implementation and impact – really mean within the context of work-based learning.

In doing so, Richard will endeavour to demystify the terminology around what are, to a large extent, some quite simple and straightforward concepts, many of which are not new as one might think within the world of education and inspection.

Objectives

By the end of this webinar, you will have learned about:

  • The inspection context provided by the Education Inspection Framework (EIF) and why curriculum intent, implementation and impact are so important;
  • The interrelationship between all three, how Ofsted inspectors seek to establish and explain that interrelationship during an inspection and why it is important;
    How inspectors will go about gathering evidence to make judgements about each of the ‘three Is’;
  • What their particular focus will be within each of them;
  • The likely questions inspectors will ask senior leaders, managers, employers and your staff about intent, implementation and impact;
  • How ‘deep dives’ into curriculum areas are conducted.

Who should attend this webinar

This webinar is aimed at members of staff nominated as Ofsted inspection nominees and managers and other staff responsible for planning and delivering the curriculum within your provision.
