Everything you need to know about carrying out the role of nominee for a possible full Ofsted inspection in 2025
Ofsted is currently about one third of the way through its programme of ensuring all providers have a full inspection in the three years between September 2022 and September 2025. So, if you haven’t been inspected since September 2022, the net is slowly closing on you receiving a full inspection in the not too distant future.
This workshop will give delegates a comprehensive overview of what being an Ofsted inspection nominee for a full inspection means going forward into a new education year.
We will begin by finding out your thoughts and concerns about fulfilling the role, before discussing what the role actually entails and thinking about who is best placed to carry out the function of being the nominee. We will also briefly consider the relatively new role of deputy nominee. To conclude this part of the workshop, we will also look at some of the common pitfalls for providers being inspected.
We will then examine in detail the key parts of the inspection process, including what you can realistically do in advance of the inspection, the purpose of the planning meeting telephone call and what the lead inspector is likely to want to know and receive from you in advance of the inspection. We will also discuss what you can realistically do between the call and the inspection itself.
Finally, we will consider your role as the nominee during the inspection.
