Job Title: Horticulture Tutor / Assessor
Location: Must be flexible with travel to Gloucester and Bristol for classroom-based delivery
Salary: £25,000 + benefits package (Working days: Monday – Thursday)
Type: Permanent
Essential Criteria:
– Must hold a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA.
– Must have current or previous experience of assessing Horticulture Apprenticeships.
– Hold solid, occupational competency within Horticulture – minimum of 2 years (gardener or groundskeeper etc)
– Confident and comfortable to deliver training to small groups of learners.
– Must hold a full, clean UK driving licence and have access to own vehicle.
– Must be flexible with travel.
Duties include:
– Assess and support learners working towards Horticulture Apprenticeships, in a workshop / small group setting.
– Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners’ skills knowledge and behaviours.
– Monitor student attendance and progress through regular learner assessment and reviews.
– Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
– Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
