Governance for Training and Employer Providers

Overview

This webinar will begin by looking at the background and context of why governance is an important consideration for training and employer providers.

It will consider who should carry out your governance role and what decisions need to be made when forming a ‘governance function’ within your organisation. We will then examine the responsibilities of those carrying out the governance function.

Finally, we will consider what evidence Ofsted inspectors will use to judge the effectiveness of your governance arrangements, what aspects of your governance they are most interested in, and what questions they might ask your ‘governors’ during an inspection.

Who should attend this webinar

This webinar will be suitable for staff internal (or external) to training and employer providers who currently fulfil the governance role, or who might carry out it in the future. As well as senior leaders and provider nominees, who will be responsible for arranging for governance to be inspected during an Ofsted inspection.
