This 60-minute awareness webinar will allow delegates to gain an overall insight into safeguarding learners at risk of Sexploitation.
Objectives
This webinar will:
- Educate participants about what sextortion is, how it occurs, and its prevalence;
- Explain how to recognise the signs of sextortion attempts, including common tactics used by perpetrators;
- Provide practical tips and strategies for preventing sextortion, such as safe online behaviour, privacy settings, and secure communication practices;
- Outline steps to take if someone becomes a victim of sextortion, including how to report the crime, seek advice and support from specialist organisations;
- Explain the legal aspects of sextortion, including relevant laws, penalties for perpetrators, and the rights of victims;
- Provide sources and tools available for further education and support, such as helplines, counselling services, and online safety guides.
