Functional Skills Maths assessments are the gateway to building a strong mathematical foundation for apprentices. This interactive webinar will provide knowledge and tools to effectively guide them towards achieving a pass.

The session delves into proven strategies to foster a positive learning environment for maths, equipping delegates with innovative teaching methods that enhance understanding and retention of key workplace-relevant concepts.

The session reviews practical techniques to navigate the Functional Skills Maths assessments (Level 1 & 2) with confidence and covers effective methods to address common challenges faced by apprentices.

At the end of this webinar, you will have a deeper understanding of/and greater confidence with:

  • Developing strategies to foster a positive attitude towards maths in apprentices;
  • Identifying and implementing effective delivery methods to improve pass rates in Functional Skills Maths assessments (Level 1 & 2).
  • Equipping learners with essential non-calculator skills, such as mental calculations and estimation techniques, required in the formal assessments;
  • Confidently navigate the most common challenges encountered in Functional Skills maths assessments.

All providers offering Functional Skills qualifications in maths at Level 1 and 2 who want to improve the delivery and pass rates of Functional maths and/or for those who want a refresher or reassurance that their approach is correct.

This interactive webinar is relevant for managers and delivery staff involved in supporting learners on programmes that offer Functional Skills in maths at Level 1 and Level 2.

This webinar is not suitable for providers who achieve strong first time pass rates for Functional maths and have no areas for development in their maths provision.
