This document sets out the adult education budget (AEB) funding rules for the 2018 to 2019 funding year (1 August 2018 to 31 July 2019).

The rules apply to all providers of education and training who receive AEB funding from the Secretary of State for Education acting through the Education and Skills Funding Agency.

If you have a specific query about a section or paragraph in the funding rules document, please email [email protected], or speak to your provider management contact.

On 31st May ESFA announced a new trial will enable AEB providers to fully fund learners, who are employed and in receipt of a low wage and cannot contribute towards the cost of co-funding fees.

The one-year trial, for the 2018 to 2019 funding year, will enable more eligible adults to access AEB funding.
