From education to employment

In the festive spirit for Toy Appeal

Staff and students at Tameside College are supporting the Tameside Toy Appeal by collecting Christmas gifts for those in need.

The Tameside Toy Appeal collects and donates toys, gifts, toiletries, gadgets and other items to give to children and teenagers living in poverty in Tameside over the Christmas period. The appeal is supported by Tameside Council, the Tameside Reporter, Tameside4Good and the Rotary Club.

Gifts can be donated via Tameside Toy Appeal boxes which are located in the college’s reception until Monday 18th December.

Gail Clifford, central support and enrichment manager at Tameside College, said: “As a further education provider, we are collecting gifts for teenagers and young adults. We think it’s important that those in need enjoy their Christmas just as much as everyone else and everyone has been working really hard to achieve that. I’d like that thank everyone who has donated and put in the time to buy a gift.”
