Sir Mike Tomlinson, honoured by the Queen for Services to Education
The Queen has knighted Mike Tomlinson for his lifetime contribution to Education. Sir Mike Tomlinson was awarded a Knighthood by the Queen in the New Years Day honours list. Sir Mike spent some 22 years teaching, and worked his way up within OFSTED. He was most recently involved in the 14- 19 education review, where he Chaired the project which recommended the use of Diplomas to develop a flexible education system to benefit learners.
