Ravensbourne University London chooses Oxford International Education Group to expand its international footprint and create student diversity
London, 28 July 2022: Oxford International Education Group (OIEG) has been chosen by Ravensbourne University London to provide student application processing services.
OIEG’s Education Services business unit will help grow Ravensbourne’s international student intake and help students enjoy an even smoother application journey. OIEG’s global team of more than 60 employees across the UK, India and Hong Kong provide on the ground support and infrastructure.
The news comes as higher education institutions seek to maximise the potential for growing their international student intake as the education landscape further transforms as a result of global demographic trends, a growing focus on student outcomes and increasing demand for higher quality learning experiences.
As an innovative, industry-focused university, Ravensbourne is located at the heart of London’s newest creative community on the Greenwich Peninsula. Its partnership with OIEG aims to grow the international student population by 200% by FY23.
Andy Cook, Vice Chancellor, Ravensbourne University London said: “We are excited to partner with OIEG as we welcome more international students to our campus, in the post-pandemic world. This partnership will help to alleviate the process for our staff as well as improve the experience for prospective students during the application journey. With a focus on design and information technology, we look forward to welcoming the next generation of talent from across the globe – integral to a post-pandemic economic recovery – with more ease than ever.”
Education Services sits alongside OIEG’s pathway provision activities, including embedded colleges and the Oxford International Digital Institute. Created in response to the changing international environment and the evolving nature of public-private sector partnerships, the unit supports universities with end-to-end recruitment, conversion, and operations-processing functions.
David Pilsbury, Chief Development Officer, OEIG commented: “Our approach is operationally simple by design. We streamlined the student processing service to enable universities to focus on their core offerings while we look after their backend recruitment. Universities are facing a greater regulatory burden imposed by the UK Home Office. Our solution ensures institutions can remain fully compliant, with robust quality controls.”
“We’re thrilled that Ravensbourne University London is partnering with us to broaden educational opportunities for students worldwide.”
