The Institute for Apprenticeships appoints Paul Cadman as permanent chair for Quality Assurance Committee

The Institute for Apprenticeships has appointed Paul Cadman as the permanent chair for its Quality Assurance Committee.

“I am delighted to confirm Paul as the new chair. He has previously served in the role in an interim capacity and has a wealth of experience of apprenticeships. This will be invaluable to the committee and the key role it plays in upholding quality assurance.”

Mr Cadman previously served as interim chair of the Quality Assurance Committee, after the previous chair Dame Asha Khemka stood down from the board.

He has been a Human Resources Director for Walter Smith Fine Foods Limited since 1998.  

Walter Smith Fine Foods Limited were chosen as ‘Medium Employer of the Year’ winner in recognition of their commitment to developing local young people through apprenticeships in the National Apprenticeship Awards ceremony in 2013.

He has been one of the government’s apprentice ambassadors since 2012 and is chair of 2 trailblazer groups, one which has developed 2 successful butchery standards and the other has developed 2 Learning & Development standards along with 2 HR standards.  Whilst no long the Chair of their Trailblazer he remains a leading force behind both, the latter is aiming to develop a Level 7 People Professional standing during 2019.

He is also Chief Executive of Crosby Management Training Ltd.

Fellow existing board member Jessica Leigh Jones has also joined the Quality Assurance Committee.

Professor Malcolm Press has joined the Approval and Funding Committee.

Dame Fiona Kendrick has joined the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee.
