Universities and colleges to transform student life with Pay360’s eShop
Four universities and colleges have contracted Pay360 by Capita to transform their student experience with its education-focused online store eShop and secure payments technology.
The University of Hertfordshire, University of Nottingham, Sparsholt College and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance have all signed up for Pay360’s eShop, to transform how students engage with them, making it simple for students to pay for a wide range of goods and services, including merchandise, tuition fees, e-learning and booking events. The mobile solution allows students to manage their finances from anywhere, from any device, including smartphones and tablets.
In addition, the University of Hertfordshire and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance have also selected Pay360’s integrated online payments solution.
Stephen Ferry, managing director, Pay360 by Capita, said: “More and more universities and colleges are looking to Pay360 as a payments partner, as these new contracts confirm.
“Our eShop solution is transforming the way education institutions interact with their students as they introduce mobile-friendly technology and analytics to help enhance their students’ experience. We’re proud to be leading this wave which will help put an end to the burden of mountains of paperwork for both students and staff.”
Pay360’s eShop allows universities and colleges to provide e-learning for students, as well as event registration. The built-in analytics capabilities give important insight into student buying behaviour and trends – for example what services, events or products are popular, and who is buying what.
Combined with Pay360 Income Management solution, universities and colleges have a complete financial picture across each of their payment channels for streamlined reporting and more informed financial planning.
Tracey Angio, head of procurement at Sparsholt College, says: “We were looking for a partner who would help us meet today’s student expectations for easy payments while offering value for money – Pay360 were unique in ticking both those boxes and were brilliant in taking us through to a quick implementation. Our credit control administrator finds it much easier to load products into eShop than our previous online store and has been really impressed with Pay360’s support throughout.”
Rob Searle, applications & development consultant, University of Hertfordshire, added: “Pay360’s eShop is a breath of fresh air – it’s just so customisable and easy to use, and resolves longstanding pain points for us. We have exciting plans for using the technology not only to simplify our existing business processes, but also to ensure the University has an online store it can be proud of.”
Pay360 processes 255 million card transactions every year worth £11 billion, for clients across markets including education, retail, banking and local government.
