From education to employment

Training specialist focuses on employment

Leading training provider PHX Training created a showcase event for employment partners in Blackpool to share awareness of the opportunities presented through their efforts.

The company invited partners including Jobcentre Plus, PeoplePlus, Blackpool Care and UR Potential to take part in the Employability Open Day to demonstrate what can be done in the area to help people find employment.

Duncan Wilding, business manager of PHX Training Blackpool, said:

“This was an opportunity to get together and share the various ways of helping to get those out of work back into employment. There are many different ways of helping people including increasing the awareness of training and skills we and our partners offer.”

Employability Day is a national initiative organised by the Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) to help highlight the efforts of organisations across the UK who help to close employment gaps by supporting disadvantaged people to enter, sustain or progress in work.
