From education to employment

RAF supporting AoC Sport’s National Championships

AoC Sports’ National Championships, now in its 42nd year, is the longest running student sport event in the UK, and brings together nearly 2,000 of the country’s most talented young people, across 13 sports, on one of the most prestigious stages in student sport. Competitions include netball, hockey, badminton, 7-a-side football, volleyball and indoor cricket.

Championships take place Friday 22- Sunday 24 April 2022 at the University of Nottingham and will offer students and spectators the opportunity to find out more about training and career opportunities in the RAF.

Squadron Leader John Roylance, RAF Recruitment and Selection said:

“We are delighted to partner with AoC Sport for this year’s National Championships. The RAF opens up a world of opportunities, offers world class training, and chance to learn and develop throughout your career – values we share with the Association of Colleges. We also have a proud sporting tradition, and currently have more than 45 available sports including football, netball, rugby, hockey and athletics. We also offer some less-common sports like fencing, bobsleigh, power-kiting, powerlifting and gliding. Championships will be a great chance for students to find out more about the opportunities available in the RAF.”

Dean Hardman, Director of Sport and Student Experience, AoC Sport said:

“The RAF is a world class partner for a world class event and we are thrilled to have them on board. Through our work to date with the RAF, its really clear that our values align and that we share a passion for ensuring young people in colleges have opportunities to develop their skills through sport and physical activity and to progress to meaningful careers.”
