Rated Ofsted outstanding, the multi-award-winning organisation, TEC Partnership, has a rich history of developing innovative training and education solutions for the community. Today, it is announcing it has become a partner of Coursera through Coursera for Campus. Coursera works with more than 200 university and industry partners worldwide to offer a range of flexible and job-relevant online learning opportunities. These include courses from world leading university and industry partners such as the University of London, Imperial College London, Yale University, Google and IBM.

The partnership will focus on upskilling TEC Partnership’s staff in high-demand skills like AI, Data Science, Engineering and Software Development. Courses on Coursera consist of video and text materials divided into weekly modules. At the end of the units, a learner can assess their knowledge and earn certificates of completion.

Students will also have access to Coursera’s comprehensive catalogue of approximately 5,000 courses and Guided Projects. These courses can be taken to supplement their study for job-relevant training, earning certificates on Coursera upon completion of each course.

This student and staff approach aligns with TEC Partnership’s innovative Curriculum 2030 programme through which students have a curriculum component which reflects what their chosen sector could look like in the future and what part technology plays in those roles.

Principal and Deputy Chief Executive at TEC Partnership, Debra Gray said: “We are delighted to be working with Coursera to enhance our extensive staff and student development offer and provide on-demand learning at a pace and place that suits our people and is bespoke to their professional interests and expertise.”

Anthony Tattersall, Vice President of EMEA at Coursera said: “Despite all the disruptions that COVID-19 has posed to us, it has also presented many opportunities. Rethinking what the future of education should look like and adopting an approach that helps us improve it is one of them. We are thrilled to collaborate with TEC Partnership to bolster their job-relevant skills training and refine their blended learning strategy, as they pave the way for change.”
