AELP’s Mark Dawe discusses pre-Apprenticeships, T Levels & Level 2 Apprenticeships

AELP's Mark Dawe on End Point Assessment and Workforce development

Here is podcast number 2 that we recorded with Mark Dawe, Chief Executive of the Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP). This episode Mark chats about pre-Apprenticeships and Level 2. If you missed it, you can check out our first podcast in the series here: Where Mark chats about End Point Assessment & AELP’s plans for the future workforce development.

In this episode Mark chats about pre-Apprenticeships, T-Levels and Level 2 Apprenticeships. We asked Mark what do we need to do to enable and encourage people before they start on Apprenticeships to want to be able to progress from level 2 to level 7 or Masters level Apprenticeships?

Mark discusses the importance of Traineeships and the challenges faced by providers around the delivery of Traineeships. He then discusses T-Levels and chats through some ideas on how to grow the number of Level 2 & 3 Apprenticeship uptake with employers.

We recorded a bunch of podcasts at a recent 3aaa conference at Wembley with Mark, we have called it our Wembley Tour of Apprenticeships, with one podcast a week being rolled out between now and the AELP national conference at the end of June.
