Ex-BB Training CEO Fay Gibbin launches e-learning platform

Fay Gibbin, Founder and CEO of Avail Learning Academy

With continued concerns over the number of low-skilled carers in the early years and care sector, a new online learning resource which offers affordable, flexible online learning has launched to help settings and carers make every day outstanding.

Avail Learning Academy provides a number of courses spanning from Safeguarding Children and Young People to Privacy and Dignity. It has been set-up by experienced care specialists who know how to deliver outstanding care.

The team behind Avail is determined to help upskill the care and early years workforce as settings are faced with tight budgets and growing funding pressures – while trying not to compromise the quality of care delivered. Avail has combined the expertise of its team with the latest in e-learning technology to deliver online training that doesn’t just tick boxes and gives carers and educators the flexibility to learn where and when they want, on a device of their choosing.

Fay Gibbin, Founder and CEO of Avail Learning Academy says;

“Training is often one of the first things to be cut or last on the list of priorities when a setting is faced with difficult financial decisions. Care must be the top priority but without a skilled workforce, it undermines everything care settings set out to deliver.

“Our goal was to create a learning platform that doesn’t just cover the basics but offers carers and practitioners insight into how to deliver outstanding care that goes above and beyond and helps to achieve that all-important outstanding grading.

“We know the financial, staffing and regulatory challenges settings face, which is why we have made it low-cost and flexible for care workers, practitioners and teachers to learn at a time and place that fits around their daily responsibilities.”

Avail Learning Academy launched in July 2019 with the aim of providing quality, flexible and affordable e-learning solutions to the care and education sectors. Fay Gibbin, Avail’s CEO and founder, started her career as a childcare practitioner and has since held many key roles within the training sector.
