More than 300 Cardonald College students ended their year in style

Students at a Scottish college celebrated their graduation at an end of year award ceremony held at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall this month.

More than 300 Cardonald College graduates received awards for HNC, HND and Advanced Diploma and equivalent qualifications in the three faculties: Arts, Humanities and Design; Technology, Business and Industry, and Care, Sport and Continuing Learning.

A student from each faculty received a Student Achievement Award, sponsored by Ede and Ravenscroft, plus a cheque for £250. These were, Danielle Richardson who received an HNC in Social Care, George Allen with an HND in Technical Support and Martin D”Arcy who studied an Access course for the HND in Stitched Textiles.

Ros Micklem, Principal of Cardonald College, said, “I”m delighted for all of our students. The awards ceremony is deserved recognition for their hard work and outstanding efforts throughout the year. I have no doubt that many of our students will go on to have long and successful careers in their chosen fields,” he added.

“It is wonderful to see the students all progressing and achieving qualifications – there must be many proud parents, friends and relatives out there!”

“At Cardonald, we have courses that suit all ages and abilities, so whether you are looking to come to college for the first time, would like to enhance your skills to progress your career or would like to take a leisure course for fun then I”m confident we”ll have something to offer,” he said.

Frank Pignatelli, Chief Executive of Learndirect Scotland, was guest speaker at the awards.
