COLLEGE GETS GOLD FOR BEING A GREAT EMPLOYER!

Leading, inspiring and empowering staff, encouraging personal development and recognising high performance are among a range of measures that have earned City of Wolverhampton College a prestigious national accreditation.

The college has been awarded the Investors in People Gold standard for the second time following a two-day assessment in March.

As part of the review an assessor met with staff, reviewed the human resources strategy and analysed results of its annual staff survey to ensure the organisation is meeting criteria in areas such as leading and inspiring people, managing performance and creating sustainable success.

Investors in People is the mark of high performance in business and people management with the organisation stating that the Gold standard is awarded to just 2% of organisations assessed against its challenging criteria.

Karen O’Reilly, assistant principal – people engagement said: ““This is yet another fantastic achievement for the college and shows how much we value our staff. This, in turn, means that they will continue to give students a great learning experience and equip them with skills and knowledge that will lead to great future careers.”

The Investors in People Gold accreditation follows on from the college being graded Good by Ofsted in November 2017, being rated number one in the West Midlands for employer satisfaction in October 2017, and named highest in the Midlands region for student satisfaction in July 2017.
