From education to employment

Firebreak lockdown, what does this mean for the College?

Following yesterday’s Welsh Government announcement of a firebreak lockdown across Wales, the College will close to all but essential staff on Friday 23 October for half term and remain closed until Monday 9 November.

Please note the following changes from Monday 2 to Friday 6 November

  • All teaching will be delivered online
  • Apprenticeships will also be delivered remotely
  • EMA will continue to be paid
  • GCSE resits and university entrance exams will continue to go ahead. Further details about these, and all other scheduled exams, will be available soon
  • Only identified essential staff will be permitted on campus.

From Monday 9 November, we will return to our teaching model that we introduced in September. This includes face to face delivery for all our full time students, and a mix of online and face to face for part time students and apprentices.

Further details will be released soon about part time courses due to start from Monday 2 November.

Please keep checking our Covid-19 webpage where we will be posting updates as well as our social media channels.

More information about the firebreak lockdown can be found on the Welsh Government website.
