Henley College Wasps AASE celebrated 150 years of Wasps Rugby last week.

Jon Pendlebury, Wasps AASE Rugby Academy Manager is pictured here presenting a commemorative shirt to Satwant Deol, Chief Executive and Principal of The Henley College, and Rugby Coach Martin Unsworth.

Mrs Deol said “The Henley College is absolutely thrilled to be in partnership with Wasps Rugby Club and the continued success of our Rugby Academy. With over 100% growth in our Academy numbers over the last three years, we are now one of the top performing Rugby Academy’s for 16-18 years. As an inclusive College we are delighted that we can offer the Elite Sports Programme.”

Martin Unsworth added “We are pleased to celebrate our successful partnership with one of Englands’s leading rugby clubs. Former Henley College Academy rugby students represented England and Wasps just last weekend. Jack Willis was man of the match and looks set to follow Alec Hepburn in getting a full England cap. The College and Wasps rugby programme is one of the best in the UK producing world class athletes”
