On 6 January, prospective students from more than 100 countries attended the University’s most successful undergraduate Virtual Open Day to date.

In total, almost 3000 visitors, including those from the UK and the south-east region, went online to learn more about: Kent’s award-winning teaching; innovative research; highest quality accommodation and academic facilities; inspirational courses; fees, funding and finance; and its 320-acre Canterbury parkland campus, and historic Medway campus with its dockyard facilities.

During their visit, prospective students were able to speak directly with current students and academic staff, all of whom were able to answer their questions and queries about studying and the student experience at Kent.

They were also able to virtually tour the University’s labs and sports centres, lecture theatres and accommodation options, as well as listen to an introduction of each course they are interested in.

Simone Davies, Kent’s Director of Marketing and Recruitment said:

‘I am delighted to say this has been our most successful Virtual Open Day yet. We were joined by so many prospective students from around the UK and countries such as the USA, India, Germany, France and Hong Kong, all of whom were very keen and eager to learn more about Kent’s world-wide reputation and offer.’
