What is the Hub and Spoke Delivery Model for Construction Technical Excellence Colleges?
Technical Excellence Colleges (CTECs) in construction utilise a hub and spoke delivery model to collaborate with local training providers and construction employers, enhancing construction training standards and technical knowledge sharing across regions.
Construction Technical Excellence Colleges serve as regional hubs with the capacity and capability to support construction training providers throughout their areas, ensuring all construction learners access enhanced technical excellence opportunities without extensive travel, whilst meeting diverse regional construction skills requirements.
The hub and spoke approach enables construction Technical Excellence Colleges to partner with further education colleges and independent construction training providers across their regions, distributing and embedding developed construction resources, including professional development programmes for construction teaching staff and innovative specialist construction curricula.
This collaborative delivery framework ensures comprehensive regional coverage, improved construction training quality, and accessible technical excellence in construction education for learners throughout the UK’s construction and technical education sector.
