From education to employment

Big thank you to employers for senior leader apprenticeship progress

I am delighted to report that significant progress has been made with the development of an updated senior leader apprenticeship over the past month.

The Secretary of State for Education requested the review back in April and we have been updating on developments through a series of monthly blogs.

The leadership and management trailblazer group of employers and the Institute can now confirm that the revised standard ( ST0480 Senior Leader) which sets out the key knowledge, skills and behaviours that apprentices will have to be able to demonstrate to pass the apprenticeship – has been approved.

I would like to thank the employers for all of the work they have devoted to getting us to this point. The next step will be revision of the end-point assessment plan which is on target to be submitted in September for approval.
