Law Training Centre launches ‘Open to All Scholarship’

Scholarship aims to make a career in law accessible to all regardless of financial means

Pioneering online legal education provider, Law Training Centre will launch its ‘Open to All Scholarship’ on 1^st August, a new offering to improve access to legal qualifications, which will run in parallel with its existing scholarship initiatives including the Access to Law SQE Scholarship.

The new scholarship will be available for learners, including international students, studying towards qualification with Law Training Centre, including for CILEX, CLC and NALP qualifications in addition to the Notarial Academic Training Course. Students will also be able to apply for the scholarship throughout the year, with this flexibility a core pillar of the ‘Open to All Scholarship’ offering.

Recipients of the scholarship will receive a grant of up to £1,558, depending on their chosen course, as well as full access to the comprehensive range of support on offer at Law Training Centre, which includes extensive 1:1 tutor support, a personal academic coach, Law Training Centre’s unique Passplus Guarantee, and access to a moderated online forum to interact with other learners.

There are no restrictions on applying for the scholarship so long as the applicant is not a recipient of one of Law Training Centre’s other scholarships. Law Training Centre’s Access to Law SQE scholarship has been awarded to 97 applicants, worth nearly £100,000 in value with none yet refused.

“We’ve personally experienced how invasive a lot of scholarship and bursary applications are, which can be discouraging, so we wanted to take a completely different approach. Given the cost-of-living crisis and the urgent need to address diversity in the legal sector, we’re really pleased to be able to help by offering this scholarship to help learners build a career in law. We’re keen to say yes wherever possible, so we encourage anyone who wants to study with us but doesn’t feel able to afford it to apply.
