Conference looking ahead at issues facing WBL over next 12 months

Government Ministers David Lammy and Caroline Flint will be among the speakers at the ALP’s autumn conference in October. “This Year’s In-Tray” aims to examine in detail the operational issues facing the work-based learning and welfare to work sectors during the next 12 months.

Other speakers include, for the first time, representatives from the equivalent ALP provider organisations in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Chief Executive f the ALP, Graham Hoyle, will also be speaking, along with Stephen Garden from the LSC, and Isabel Sutcliffe of Edexcel.

There were also be a number of workshops from, amongst others, DWP/jobcentre plus, the Learning and Skills Council, and the ALP in conjunction with the Institute for Learning.

The conference is being held at Newbury Racecourse on 30th and 31st October. The cost for ALP delegates will be £165 + VAT per day and for non-ALP members the cost is £215 + VAT per day. For further information or to book your place go to www.national-training.com
