Back to School Week – when do schools and colleges go back?

Most pupils will have enjoyed at least six weeks off school during the summer.

However, term dates and holiday lengths will vary depending on the local council, school and college.

Some schools and colleges return from 1 September, but many will go back during the week starting 5 September.

If you aren’t sure when your child is supposed to return to school, you can take a look at the postcode tool on the gov.uk website

You can also always check your school’s website for more information on term times.
