This National Apprenticeship Week, Coventry Building Society is pledging £100,000 to organisations to support with their apprenticeship training and assessments.

The Society has run its own apprenticeship programmes since 2018 in areas including IT, Change, Mortgages and Finance. The programmes have been very successful and the Society was awarded the ‘West Midlands Best Large Apprenticeship Employer’ at the National Apprenticeship Awards in 2021 for the second year running.

Lucy Becque, Chief People Officer at Coventry Building Society, commented: “We’ve seen the fantastic benefits of apprenticeships for our colleagues and for the organisation. But we know that funding can sometimes be a barrier to creating these opportunities. To tackle this, we’ve pledged £100,000 from our apprenticeship fund which will be available to other organisations to support with their own apprenticeship training and assessments.

“We’re excited to play a part in broadening the opportunities for people in our communities, so that they can access employment and the brilliant training and development that comes with an apprenticeship.”
