Welcome to FE Soundbite Weekly Journal Edition #635

It has been a busy one this week. There have been eight, yes EIGHT major announcements this week:

International Women’s Day (there were so many great IWD articles we set up this Tag page) – I also didn’t go on about it on socials… but FE News is also incredibly proud to have a 75% female workforce! It was National Careers Week (again here is a tag page with a bunch of cool articles)

Welsh Gov’s FE plans, IFS on Teacher payNational Tutoring Programme, Sutton Trust on Careers Guidance, National Audit Office on Financial Sustainability of HE providers, a really interesting report on the LifeLong Education Commission on Learning Eco-systems in Doncaster – new model for levelling up skills.

We have also had some epic exclusives from Jeremy Miles unpacking the Welsh Gov’s FE plan, Rob Halfon for Gypsy Roma and Traveller Children to progress in education and skills, Jane Hickie on Careers, Paul Warner unpacking some recent AELP research. We also had an epic livestream on AntiRacismInAction in Northern Ireland – personally, I think it was the best episode yet!

Plus Kelly and Aliyah were out and about on Monday at the IfATE session in Parliament – so it was great for them to catch up with some old friends and also to make some new ones as well.

So much for you to check out and share in Soundbite this week.

I hope you enjoy FE Soundbite this week!

Gavin, CEO and Founder, FE News and FE Careers
