ATTFE College – Brightening up Easter!

Brightening up Easter!

A team of volunteers joined ‘Let’s All Eat’ and ATTFE College on Good Friday to support delivering 700 chef cooked Easter dinners to food parcel recipients in the Sutton-in-Ashfield to brighten up their Easter.

This team effort was achieved by strong local partnership work.

Chef Dave Marshall of Porterhouse Barlows graciously gave up his time to cook the dinners and Scot Barlow of Barlows butchers generously funded the meat for the meals. Portland College, Ashfield District Council and community members kindly donated around 600 Easter eggs which were also distributed.

Liz Barrett, Let’s All Eat Volunteer Director said;

“This was another humbling community Easter effort with lots of volunteers turning up to help deliver the dinners and Easter eggs. As well as ensuring that people received food over the Easter weekend, we demonstrated yet again what community spirit can achieve. In these challenging Covid-19 times it is more important than ever to ensure that all members of our community are cared for and supported. Many thanks to everyone who gave their time on Good Friday to support this initiative, we very much appreciate you.”
