From education to employment

Brand new resources from Amazing Apprenticeships for National Apprenticeship Week 2022

Running alongside its customary student, teacher, parent and carer resources and events, the apprenticeship expert has outlined an impressive set of free webinars and workshops specifically for employers (@AmazingAppsUK).

Starting the week on Monday 7th February with the latest Time for Change workshop hosted by Anna Morrison CBE and Edward Donkor of The Social Mobility Commission, employers can register to hear from leading apprentice employers Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, AstraZeneca and Oxford University as they outline initiatives they have implemented to use apprenticeships to drive social mobility, diversity and inclusion.

Morrison will then host an expert panel on behalf of The Open University and 5% Club on Wednesday 9th ‘How Apprenticeships can diversify your workforce’, featuring brand new data from the Open University’s exclusive employer survey published for National Apprenticeship Week.

The team is also planning a well-being event alongside Gen Healthy Minds called ‘Focus on your Future’ and is encouraging employers to empower their apprentices to take part.

Friday 12th February sees a very special morning event ‘Moving on Up’ alongside NCFE, the Care Leaver Covenant, the Department for Education and local government, bringing together care-experienced apprentices, employers and training providers to understand the challenges and barriers that care experienced young people face, hear how apprenticeships have shaped people’s lives and discover the support that is available to organisations wishing to get involved.

“It’s so exciting to have such a full timetable of events dedicated to employers.  We have always supported students, apprentices, teachers and parents and it is brilliant to be able to open the door to the ever-increasing number of employers working or planning to work in the apprenticeship space this year.

Each of these events has been designed to inspire employers to initiate change within their own organisation. We would encourage individuals to register and to urge their apprentices to explore our apprentice wellbeing event to truly make the most of National Apprenticeship Week 2022.”

Employers wishing to get involved in the week can discover the full calendar of events on the Amazing Apprenticeships website.
