Dream jobs in beauty industry within finger-tip reach

DREAM jobs in the beauty industry are within finger-tip reach as Progress to Excellence Ltd grows its footprint in Wirral to open a new training academy in Birkenhead.

The company’s beauty academy at Pacific Road, where the national training company has its base, will offer courses in make-up, nails and micro-blading.

Students at the Indulgence Academy at Progress to Excellence will have the opportunity to train in a “real-world” beauty environment to become equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to secure a dream job in beauty.

To give prospective students an idea of the opportunities available, an open evening is being held at the academy on Thursday, December 6 from 6-8pm where tutors will be on hand to give advice about the courses. There will also be mini treatments and light refreshments.

Damian Burdin, Chief Executive at Progress to Excellence Ltd, explained: “Our students will be part of a training programme different to FE college-based courses.

“They will learn in a real workplace environment to make them industry-ready for employers in the beauty business. It’s a massively growing industry with so many amazing job opportunities.

“Our tutors are constantly working on new trends and, because of their vast training experience, we will be producing really good learners who are confident to take on any challenges facing them so they can take that next step in their career.”

The Diploma in Nail Technology Level 3, Diploma in Nail Services Level 3, Diploma in Make-up Artistry Level 3 and the Certificate in Enhancing Eyebrows with Micro-Blading Technology Level 4 will all be on offer at Indulgence Academy at Progress to Excellence.

The courses are funded through an Advanced Learner Loan which, subject to eligibility, is available to individuals aged 19 and over who choose to study a Level 3 to Level 6 course.

It’s easy to apply for ad Advanced Learner Loan, and household income isn’t taken into account. There’s also no credit check or upper age limit.

The loan will not be paid back until income is over £25,000 a year. Once this threshold has been reached, the learner then only pays back 9p in every £1 of what’s earned above it.

The open evening at Indulgence Academy at Progress to Excellence will be held at Pacific Road Business Hub, Birkenhead CH41 1LJ, on Thursday, December 6 from 6-8pm.
