Futures Wins New Contract Providing Support to Children, Young People and Families

Amanda Payne, Operations Manager for the new IASS service

Today (2 Jul) Futures launches a new service bringing together the services of AskUs, Iris and SEND engagement to create a new Information, Advice and Support Service across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, known as an IASS.

Futures Advice Skills and Employment are an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ social enterprise at the forefront of providing expert information, advice and guidance. This includes jobs and skills advice, training and apprenticeships to support young people and adults into work and training.

Amanda Payne, Operations Manager for the new IASS service said:

“We’re excited to be awarded this contract and I’m looking forward to working with families and young people across the City and County.”

“We will have feedback at every stage of our service offer and so would love to hear from families about what works well. We want to develop the service to be able to support those who most need it.”

Futures has a long history of supporting the people of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire to make the most out of life, they have worked in partnership with the local authorities for over 25 years.

Delivering support services to schools including mainstream, special and independent schools, is something Futures has always done in conjunction with supporting young people not in education, employment or training.

The support on offer includes:

  • Free confidential, impartial, information and advice regarding education, care and support
  • Advice for families applying for an Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessment
  • Quarterly magazine and monthly newsletter

The new single point of contact for this service is 0800 1217772.
