Haringey Sixth Form College Results Week: Stunning Student Outcome

Students

This week is “results week”, Tuesday is the level 3 A level, UAL and BTEC results day and Thursday the GCSE and the other vocational results day, BTEC & VTCT all of equal importance at a college where everyone and every result matters.

Yes… they have done it! The students richly deserve to celebrate this week, this has been a challenging 18 months.

Throughout though all the staff and students at Haringey Sixth Form College have demonstrated great resilience and support for each other. What a team!

The expertise shown by the staff been outstanding and the dedication of both staff and students exemplary.

The team have been well led by Lisa Westray our college Principal and the assessment process expertly coordinated by Assistant Principal Rosie Shire.

The college is delighted to announce that all students will receive the teacher assessed grades as submitted by the amazing #TeamHaringey6 staff. What a team!

The college has had samples taken at all levels and across all courses for scrutiny by the exam boards and no changes have been made to any grades submitted.

Chief Executive Russ Lawrance commented:

“The Board and I are absolutely delighted with the student outcomes, the process has been well led, the staff input superb, and the external scrutiny of our submissions very robust. The students have achieved the excellent grades that their efforts, skills and expertise deserve. #TeamHaringey6 must celebrate each and every achievement on Tuesday and Thursday and that’s an order!”

Haringey Sixth Form College do not get engaged in meaningless public statistical comparison and analysis, but what we will say is that the upward performance trends are fantastic.

Russ added “Education and results are not for college but for life and we are so much #MoreThanACollege, everyone over this last 18 months have learned that so long as you are supported then elements of uncertainty and the feeling of at times being uncomfortable they are OK. Challenge is good. This week is so fabulous considering all that everyone’s has been through, the effort, challenges and yes emotions, plenty of ups and downs are all worth it and are necessary to enjoy this success. This week is another real demonstration that at Haringey Sixth Form College we aim for excellence in everything we do and an example again of how #TeamHaringey6 always demonstrate this amazing great can/do will do attitude.

One of #TeamHaringey6 A-Level students Fasika, who has gained a place at University of Bath to study Chemical Engineering said of her time here studying has been ‘the very best experience and has made me want to be a world changing person and the best engineer’
