From education to employment

North Wales college @ColegCambria rockets up social media rankings into top 5

COLEG CAMBRIA proved once again it is at the forefront of digital advances by breaking into the top five of a prestigious social media league table.

The award-winning north east Wales institution is now ranked fifth out of 466 UK colleges on Edurank.

The website analyses the Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram accounts of all further education centres, as well as scrutinising SEO and brand and performance metrics.

Cambria scored particularly strongly in the Facebook and Twitter categories.

CEO David Jones said their continued rise is testament to their proactive staff and a culture of pride in the college’s success.

“It is heartening to see we have once again improved our position on Edurank,” said Mr Jones.

“Social media is something we take seriously because that’s where our current and prospective students go for their news, it’s where opinions are formed and a place we can instantly share stories, photos and videos championing their many achievements.”

He added: “At Cambria we continually strive for improvement, and we do that with a clear vision.

“To keep moving forward at a time when online communication is more crucial than ever is a big positive for us, so I would like to thank all of our marketing staff for their efforts.”

Edurank is the only social media measurement tool that covers all major digital and social areas and has been created and designed specifically for the education sector.

The good news comes as the college unveiled plans for a £20m revamp of its Yale campus in Wrexham, ahead of their fifth anniversary celebrations next month.
