Top training firm continues to make a UK-wide impact

Andrew Rope is set to make a big impact as the new business consultant for a leading national training company, which is based in the North East.

As Business Impact UK’s new business consultant for the south, Andrew Rope (40) will work alongside the company’s southern clients to help maximise their productivity through the use of lean thinking and Business Improvement Techniques.

Andrew first began work as a tool maker and mechanical engineer in Norwich. After working at Lotus Cars, Andrew moved into manufacturing management and later completed his Six Sigma green belt whilst working at bespak. However it was during his role as project manager at Impress that Andrew began to focus on Business Improvement Techniques and lean thinking. Although Andrew will be working within the south of England he will be initially focusing on the northern area of East Anglia and working with a number of companies including ThyssenKrupp, Impress and Bernard Matthews. Business Impact UK, a national training company with their headquarters in Newcastle, delivers tailored training initiatives to companies across the UK that are designed to increase productivity, reduce waste, improve quality and maximise efficiency whilst increasing skills and knowledge through the utilisation of government funded initiatives.

Commenting on his appointment, Andrew said: "I’m really looking forward to helping companies across the south of the country realise the importance of lean thinking and Business Improvement Techniques. This change in career has allowed me to move away from working at one manufacturing organisation in order to get more involved with promoting the Business Impact training solutions at several organisations while working closely with both our trainers and clients as we help guide them through their business training to help increase their efficiency and minimise waste."

Melvyn Parr, Operations Director for the South, added: "I am delighted that Andrew has joined our successful team of committed individuals. Andrew brings a number of important skills with him that will enhance the services we offer our clients, both new and existing. Having worked in the engineering and manufacturing sector, he has learnt the tools and techniques that will enable him to recommend programmes that will add benefit to all stakeholders, thus ensuring that training is paramount for the future growth of companies and clients."
