A/AS Level and Advanced Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification Results 2020
@WGMin_Education – A/AS Level and Advanced Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification #ResultsDay 2020
Kirsty Williams, Welsh Education Minister, said:
“I want to send my very best wishes to everyone who receives their A-level, AS, Welsh Bacc and vocational qualification grades today.
“Due to the many changes we’ve had to make this year in exceptional circumstances, you’ve had to make many sacrifices.
“But you have every reason to be proud of all the work you’ve done, which will serve you well, and proud of the determination you have shown to overcome this challenging time.
“As announced yesterday, we have guaranteed that a learner’s final A Level grade cannot be lower than their AS grade. Students in Wales, and prospective employers and universities across the UK, can be assured that their A Level grades reflect their work and externally assessed exams.
“I hope you get the grades you’d hoped for, and you can continue with your educational journey in the autumn. Although many of you will be pleased with your results and excited for your next step, if you didn’t get what you’d hoped, there’s plenty of options & advice on Working Wales.
“Best of luck, and best wishes for the future.”

“Rwyf am ddanfon fy nymuniadau gorau at bawb sy’n derbyn graddau Safon Uwch, UG, Bagloriaeth Cymru a Chymwysterau Galwedigaethol heddiw.
“Oherwydd y llu o newidiadau y bu’n rhaid i ni eu gwneud eleni mewn amgylchiadau eithriadol, rydych chi wedi aberthu’n fawr.
“Ond mae gennych bob rheswm i fod yn falch o’r holl waith yr ydych wedi ei wneud, a fydd o gymorth i chi, ac o’r penderfyniad yr ydych wedi ei wneud i oresgyn yr amser heriol hwn.
“Fel y cyhoeddwyd ddoe, rydym wedi gwarantu na all gradd safon uwch derfynol dysgwr fod yn is na gradd UG. Gall myfyrwyr yng Nghymru, a darpar gyflogwyr a phrifysgolion ledled y DU, fod yn sicr bod eich graddau Safon Uwch yn adlewyrchu eich gwaith ac arholiadau a asesir yn allanol.
“Rwy’n gobeithio y cewch chi’r graddau roeddech chi wedi gobeithio amdanyn nhw, a gallwch barhau â’ch taith addysgol yn yr hydref. Er y bydd llawer ohonoch yn fodlon ar eich canlyniadau ac yn llawn cyffro am eich cam nesaf, os na chawsoch yr hyn yr oeddech wedi’i obeithio, mae digon o opsiynau a chyngor ar gael ar Cymru’n Gweithio.
“Pob lwc, a dymuniadau gorau at y dyfodol.”
