Kimberley Pascoe, operations director at recruitment firm Alderwood, discusses the obstacles that providers must overcome to deliver three million more Apprenticeships.

According to Pascoe, there is already a skills shortage of experienced and qualified Assessors, Trainers, Verifiers and qualified staff.

She believes the biggest challenge will be continually recruiting experienced and competent delivery staff for high quality Apprenticeship programmes.

There is also a need to create highly skilled Assessors to help meet the government’s target, she adds.
