Activate Apprenticeships looking to secure #500futures for apprentices #NAW2019

Activate Learning is calling on businesses to invest in their future workforce and take on an apprentice as part of its #500futures campaign its launched today to coincide with the start of National Apprenticeship Week.

Activate Apprenticeships, which is the apprenticeship provider arm of the educational group, aims to secure 500 new apprenticeship roles between March and May 2019.

Renowned as the largest apprenticeship provider in the Thames Valley, Activate Apprenticeships currently provides a talent pipeline of 16,000 learners across the Activate Learning group.

Pablo Lloyd, Chief Executive of Activate Apprenticeships said: “We work with thousands of businesses across the country to provide apprenticeships, and the one thing we hear time and time again is that apprentices are an excellent long-term investment.

“It’s a way for businesses to bring in new employees, at a fraction of the price, and help to mould them into the talent they need for the future.”

To mark the launch of the ambitious #500futures campaign, Activate Apprenticeships will be hosting a series of free and interactive talks, open to prospective apprentices and employer partners. These will be held between the 4–8 March, during National Apprenticeship Week 2019.

Those interested will be welcomed to sessions at campuses in Oxford and Bracknell as part of the initiative.

The launch event will be at the City of Oxford College technology campus in Blackbird Leys on 4 March between 09:30am–12:00pm. A second event will be hosted at Bracknell and Wokingham College on 6 March between 15:30–18:00pm.

These events will feature a series of educational and interactive talks, with informative presentations, guest speaker discussions, question and answer sessions and networking opportunities.

Fiona Stilwell, Chief Operating Officer at Activate Apprenticeships said: “We hope that these talks can answer any questions for potential apprentices and employer partners wishing to work alongside Activate Apprenticeships by providing placements.

“Having an apprentice as part of your business is hugely beneficial to both parties involved. An apprenticeship with us is a successful experience with a good outcome for all involved.”

Activate Apprenticeships hopes that these events will boost awareness of the #500futures campaign and entice apprentices and prospective employers to partner with the apprenticeship provider.
