Art & Design students take on London Fashion Week

Level 3 Art & Design students (@CRC_College) recently attended London Fashion Week as volunteers working behind the scenes, where they found themselves immersed in a world of all things fashion and design. The students spent two days helping to dress the models, fix wardrobe malfunctions, set up scenes for the runway, and escort VIPs to their seats. In addition to this, they were also given plenty of opportunity to enjoy the runway shows.

Art & Design student Kayla Woods said,

“It was a new way of looking at art, as not everything that comes down the runway is meant for everyday wear. The experience made me realise how much art goes into creating fashion. The experience of seeing how much work goes into fashion and runway shows has really opened my eyes and the opportunity to network with people in the industry was amazing. I even came away with some industry contacts.”

Enrichment opportunities at CRC are designed to enhance the learning experience and support further development. Presenting learners with situations that stretch their minds and make them question their own perceptions creates a deeper level of learning.
