From education to employment

Forsee Power Group forms educational and cultural exchange partnership

Founded by CNAM (the leading higher French education and research institution for adult continuing education) and Dongguan University of Technology in China, the Sino-French Institute has signed a partnership agreement with Forsee Power

Forsee Power, the French expert in smart battery systems for urban mobility solutions, has just signed an educational and cultural exchange partnership agreement to support students in their university and in-company training courses.

A partnership that strengthens the links between France and China

Forsee Power has joined the enterprise club of the DGUT-CNAM Sino-French Institute formed by the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM) and Dongguan University of Technology in order to stimulate the development of engineering education and promote an exchange programme.
The institute is a new college offering courses in mechanical engineering, network telecoms and software engineering leading to a Bachelor-level first degree in China before moving on to a new Masters programme in France.

Forsee Power in China is based at Zhongshan in Guangdong province, not far from Dongguan. The French group employs more than 150 people in its R&D centre and production unit here, which specialises in the manufacture of batteries for electric scooters and portable equipment, such as medical devices, tools and robotics.

This partnership has multiple goals:

  • To contribute to the development of battery-focused training courses, of which there are currently very few anywhere in the world
  • To induct trainees who can then potentially join the teams of Forsee Power in China and France
  • To run Forsee Power research programmes at the Institute

So Forsee Power and the Sino-French Institute will be organising regular exchanges and visits to gain a deeper mutual understanding of the operating philosophy and culture of the company and the college, and therefore facilitate communication.

Frédéric Poupeau, Head of Forsee Power in China: “Forsee Power is very proud to be a member of the DGUT-CNAM Institute enterprise club to promote cultural and business interaction between France and China. Our teams eagerly await the opportunity to welcome students and share their expertise with them. Intensifying cooperation and research programmes are also priorities for this new partnership!”

Mingjun Zhang, Director of CNAM in China: “The DGUT-CNAM Institute is delighted to have signed this partnership agreement with Forsee Power, which offers our Chinese and international students a valuable opportunity to experience the corporate world. Training engineers and managers in the scientific skills and multicultural management expertise essential for company development is central to what we do. Everyone at CNAM China is committed to the success of this partnership and its combination of academic education and support for industrial projects”.
