This guide sets out how to provide careers guidance to students:

• up to and including the age of 18
• from 19 to 25 years old with an education, health and care plan

Statutory guidance on careers guidance and access to education and training providers for schools is also available.

This guidance is part of the government’s Careers strategy: making the most of everyone’s skills and talents
