Institute announces quality criteria following public consultation

The Institute for Apprenticeships has today (Thursday 23^TH NOVEMBER) announced measures by which the quality and success of apprenticeships will be assessed in the years to come. The measures are included in the Institute’s Quality Statement document, published today, which provides a clear definition of what constitutes a high quality apprenticeship.

On the launch of the Quality Statement the Institute’s Chief Executive Peter Lauener said:

For Apprenticeships to offer great opportunities for people of all ages, they must be of the highest quality.

We want this statement to give every employer and learner the confidence that apprenticeships are rigorous, high-quality and challenging. A statement that ensures everyone – colleges, employers, learners – knows what quality looks like and where excellence can thrive.
