Foundation Apprenticeships: Launched by Prime Minister Keir Starmer at the Labour Party conference on 24th September 2024
These apprenticeships aim to provide young people with entry-level opportunities, alongside shorter programs in select areas. Starmer addressed the decline in entry-level apprenticeship starts contrasting with rising visa applications for similar skills. He introduced the Youth Guarantee as a cornerstone policy to combat youth unemployment.
