Manchester training firm celebrates matrix standard achievement

Solvo Vir, a specialist provider of apprenticeships and training, has been awarded the matrix Standard in recognition of the high standard of information, advice and guidance it provides.

The accreditation reflects the quality of information the firm was judged to provide to learners on its programmes and to its own staff, supporting them in their choice of career, learning, work and life goals.

The matrix assessment took the form of a rigorous two-day audit including interviews with staff at the firm’s offices in Sale, Manchester. Assessors also spoke to Solvo Vir’s funders and learners, covering four key areas: Leadership and Management, Resource, Service Delivery and Continuous Quality Improvement.

The assessor’s report noted many positive comments from the firm’s learners. The fact that the Solvo Vir staff have industry experience was particularly appreciated, as one learner stated, “Because they know the different routes and which qualification would help me.”

Solvo Vir Managing Director, Carl Smith says:The matrix Standard is an industry-recognised quality mark and a fantastic achievement after 10 months of hard work and commitment. We aspire to achieve excellence in all areas and the matrix accreditation is a great way to confirm our high standards for our employees and learners. I am very proud of the team.

“It also comes at a time when companies affected by the Apprenticeship Levy are looking to private training providers who are on the register for provision. The recognition is very fresh and highlights the level of excellence we are operating at right now. It’s the first step on our journey to OFSTED outstanding.”
