Newham College Awarded FE Provider of the Year

The National Centre for Diversity, (NCFD) held its’ 2016 FE Sector Diversity Awards in Birmingham last week. The ceremony was an opportunity to honour and recognise the committed and inspiring individuals and organisations from across the UK’s FE Sector.

Newham College is celebrating a double award win. The first was awarded to Board Member, Martin Cumella for his work in creating the college charity, Learning Revolution Trust. The second was awarded to the College for being the ‘London FE Provider of the Year’.
Martin said, “Newham is one of the most vibrant and diverse boroughs in the country and this award is a recognition of the efforts of all at Newham College in ensuring that the best possible educational opportunities are available to everyone regardless of their background or circumstances. The college and its charity the Learning Revolution Trust will redouble their efforts to maximise opportunity and achievement for all in the future.”

College Principal, Di Gowland said, “Congratulations to everyone for your enormous contribution which has made our work on this vital agenda recognised at a national Level.”
