Students take part in inaugural Network Rail: Track to the Future Programme

@LordGreyAcademy students gain a unique insight into the work of @NetworkRail by visiting their head office in Milton Keynes 

20 Year 11 students from Lord Grey Academy in Milton Keynes are taking part in the inaugural Track to the Future Programme designed by The Talent Foundry for Network Rail.  The students take part in four sessions, two of which take place at Network Rail’s Quadrant office in Milton Keynes.  

Students taking part in the Track to the Future programme gain a unique insight into the work of Network Rail and mentors from Network Rail support the students through four highly interactive and engaging sessions exploring the rail industry.  Students will develop key transferable skills such as innovation and creativity, while also learning about key competencies such as accountability, collaboration, and responding to challenging situations.

The Talent Foundry is an independent education charity, and their mission is to increase social mobility by helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds discover what they are amazing at.  The charity’s aim is to increase social mobility by helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds discover what they are amazing at, develop valuable new employment skills and take that first step into the world of work.
